Step 2:
Verify athlete online with NSID & E-Sign GFL Forms

New to GFL Football and Cheerleading? Age/grade cutoff information

Verifying athlete age and signing GFL documents online through National Sports ID (NSID) is required before athletes can participate in GFL activities and games, including BFA practices.

You will also be provided and e-sign the GFL Code of Conduct and Covid Waiver through NSID.

Please read & follow all instructions found at the link below to get verified.

If you are attending a walk-up registration you must have the documents, or clear photos/screenshots of the documents, listed below in order for us to assist you with your NSID registration.

New players will scroll down and click on Brookwood Football Association, create an account and follow the prompts.  You will need 1) Birth certificate, passport or state issued id, 2) Report card, school id or screenshot of school account that shows the school year/date and grade, 3) clear headshot of child (shoulders up preferred), and 4) online payment of $10.00 plus processing fees.

Returning parents will not be prompted to pay again until your account reaches 1 year old. At that time, you will need to process the $10.00 subscription payment for this season (unless you paid for more than 1 year in advance). Your NSID player account must be kept current for the entire GFL season.

Even if your child is already verified in NSID you still need to click the link, log in, and select the appropriate BFA group for your athlete to be certified under their BFA team and e-sign GFL waivers.

You do not need to "Join a Team" in NSID. You only need to have "BROOKWOOD GFL- Player Verification" listed under "My Tournaments and Leagues". Waivers will be e-signed under each GFL child profile in your account.

Step 3:
Complete athlete sports physical

Completed physical is required before an athlete can participate in any BFA Fall 2024 activity, including speed & agility camps and early practices starting in June 2024.  No exceptions.

Print the required GFL sports physical form (provided below) and take it to your preferred physician or clinic for a sports physical.

Physical requirements

  • All physicals must be on the GFL 2024 form. It is recommended that you print 2 blank forms to take with you in case the physician or nurse makes a mistake on one.
  • Make sure ALL parts of the form are filled out, including health questions and history. Double check that athlete name and birthdate are correct and matches their legal name on their BFA football registration and age verification documents submitted to NSID.
  • Exam date must be in 2024
  • The form must be signed by the MD, NP, PA, or DO with their credentials and include the contact information for the clinic or office performing the physical.
  • The physical form submitted to BFA must be the original form with the original provider signature.  No copies will be accepted.

Bring your completed physical to any walk-up registration or uniform fitting event. 7 on 7 players can bring their physicals to their team parent or email registration@bfabroncos.com to arrange to drop off during practice times. They will not be uploaded through NSID (as they were last year).

Step 3A - Middle School Athletes

All GFL football athletes ages 11yo through 8th grade must take the online Concussion Baseline Test each year. This test should be completed on a computer with a mouse or trackpad available and will take your athlete about 20 minutes to complete. Baseline neurocognitive testing  allows you to document the healthy brain function of an uninjured test taker.  Learn more about how baseline tests are used

**2024 Baseline Test instructions will be sent to affected teams**
